Hyper Scape will be a Battle Royale Game from Ubisoft
The presence of a new free to play battle royale game from
Ubisoft called Hyper Scape with its rumored futuristic theme will be announced
on July 2nd.
But in contrast to their announcements in general, Hyper
Scape was announced through streamers and content creators both on Twitch and
YouTube. Indicate that the leak that had circulated the Hyper Scape
collaboration with Twitch is really real.
What Is a Battle
Royale Game
Battle royale game is a game in which the players (or can
also join a small squad) must be able to survive to be the last.
At the beginning of the game, usually the player will jump
from an airplane (some even from a flying bus) and land at certain places
without carrying a weapon.
Weapons and various equipment can be found in various
locations on the map. After that, we are required to eliminate all opponents
with our weapons.

There is a circle called the Safe Zone. The longer, the
circle gets smaller so you will soon meet the remaining enemies.
Each player usually only has one life per game, except for
certain games like Apex Legends.
When playing squad mode, usually before death the player
will enter the knockdown phase which can be helped by his teammates to get back
healthy.
Hyper Scape has integration with Twitch which allows the
audience to interfere in the match. For example, accelerating the pace of the
game, giving healing items, and others.
On the other hand, Ubisoft also still announces Hyper Scape
through a trailer that you can watch above. It seems that the gameplay is
really fast with a futuristic theme, where 100 players will compete in the city
of Neo-Arcadia set in 2054.
Each player will have an ability called Hacks, where they
can take any item in their world including weapons. Hacks will have offensive
and defensive abilities. For example, installing mines, looking for enemies,
protecting squad with walls, or making invisible players to attack enemies
secretly. Hacks will be able to be upgraded through Fusion Mechanic to increase
its strength.
Ubisoft's plan to integrate it with Twitch is also
transitioning to their ways to invite their players from today until 7 July.
Same with Valorant, you who are interested in playing Hyper Scape earlier in
the closed technical test period on American and European servers will be able
to watch your favorite streamers to get Twitch drop. You just need to connect
your Ubisoft account to Twitch and watch the HyperScapeGame stream to get the
chance to drop it.
The test will also allow you to try a 10 level free battle
pass which will be taken when the game is released.
As of this writing, Ubisoft is still reluctant to announce
when Hyper Scape will be released. But if according to Rod Breslau's leak is
true, then the possibility of the game will be visited by PC on 12-13 July 2020
depending on which region you are in.
A Short History of
the Battle Royale Game
Then what's the story so that the Battle Royale game can
explode like now? Come on, check out Jaka's review below!
Initial Phase (2012-2016)
Actually, the concept of the battle royale game has been
around for a long time, even since the 90s in the Bomberman game that
introduced the multiplayer mode.
After the film The Hunger Games was released in 2012, there
was a mod called Survival Games for the Minecraft game that was inspired by the
film.
Furthermore, in 2016, Japanese developers released a battle
royale game titled Btoom Online which was inspired by the classic Japanese film
titled Battle Royale.
However, this game is considered a commercial failure.
Birth of PUBG, Fortnite and Other Battle Royale Games (2017)
In 2017, the release of the game Player Unknown
Battlegrounds or often abbreviated as PUBG. Unlike previous games, this game is
successful in the market.
This game is inspired by the ARMA III mod game created by
Brendan Greene which was released in 2013.
After PUBG was released in March 2017, following H1Z1 and
Fortnite. Both of these games offer a little difference from the PUBG game with
their respective characteristics.
